Marcia Brown

Marcia Brown came to NHT in 1998 after a long career working for Montana members of Congress both in Washington, D.C. and in Montana. At NHT, Marcia has developed expertise in Human Resource management while also providing oversight of NHT's Information Technology Division, Resource Centers, Administrative Services, and property management. With employees in multiple locations across the country, Marcia has used her knowledge of federal law to develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws. She has developed a new internal pay plan, increased the depth and breadth of benefits available to employees, and established strong payroll processing capabilities. She has also developed long-term recruitment and hiring practices that have increased the diversity of the organization. Marcia's strength is designing policies and procedures that protect employees as well as organizations. Marcia is a member of the National Society for Human Resource Management and the Continental Divide Chapter of the Montana State Society for Human Resource Management. A Montana native, she attended the University of Montana majoring in political science and retains a strong interest in government and public policy.
